Draft — pending reviewLast updated 19 July 2026

Privacy Policy

goodTodo is built to be private by default. Your tasks live on your device first, syncing is optional, and voice capture is processed on your device unless you explicitly choose a cloud provider.

This is draft copy provided for transparency during the public beta. It has not yet been reviewed by a legal professional and may change before general availability.

Data stored on your device

goodTodo works fully offline. Your tasks, projects, reminders and settings are stored locally on your device and remain available without any account or connection.

Optional sync

If you create an account and turn on sync, your task data is sent over an encrypted connection to our hosting provider (Supabase) so it can be kept in step across your devices. When two devices disagree, the newest edit wins. You can use goodTodo entirely without an account, in which case no task data leaves your device.

Data exports

On supported devices, you can save a ZIP of the data currently stored by goodTodo on that device without signing in. goodTodo builds it in private temporary storage and does not upload it; the ZIP is not encrypted, so you are responsible for where you save and share it. If you sign in, you can separately request an expiring private download of your cloud-synced account data.

Reminders & notifications

Reminders pop up as notifications from the app on your own device. Location reminders watch for a place you choose and notify you on arrival or departure — the check happens on your device.

Voice & AI

Voice capture turns speech into text on your device by default. If you choose to use a cloud AI provider to interpret a request, only the minimal text needed is sent — never the raw audio by default — and this requires your explicit consent. If you bring your own AI key, it is stored in your device's secure storage.

Google integrations

If you connect a Google account, goodTodo requests access to Google Tasks (two-way sync) and read-only access to Google Calendar. You can disconnect at any time; disconnecting stops syncing and does not delete the data already on your device.

Diagnostics

goodTodo uses crash and error reporting to keep the app reliable. These reports are designed to exclude your task content, transcripts and API keys.
